Kurt Von Rueden, M.D.

Kurt Von Rueden, MD, is a Fellowship-trained board certified orthopedic spinal surgeon specializing in spinal deformities, and cervical and lumbar spine surgery. Dr. Von Rueden received his medical degree from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. His internship in General Surgery and residency in Orthopedic Surgery were completed at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Von Rueden completed Fellowship training through the North American Spine Society Traveling Fellowship, with a concentration on Cervical Spine and Spinal Deformity surgery.

Dr. Von Rueden has published in the medical literature, and has served as Editorial Advisor to Spine and as Spine Consultant to the University of Texas at Austin Athletics Department. He has made presentations at orthopedic surgery professional conferences in the United States and abroad, covering a variety of topics such as discography, pedicle screw insertion, disc herniation and arthroscopy in children. He is a member of numerous medical organizations.

Dr. Von Rueden received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
