Sara G. Austin, MD

Sara G. Austin, MD, received her medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. She completed an internship in Internal Medicine at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City and a residency in Neurology at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. While pursuing Fellowship training in electromyography at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, she served that university in the capacity of Neurology instructor, and later, Assistant Professor. Dr. Austin was named an AAAS Science and Technology Fellow, and served on the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee in Washington, DC. In Austin, she has maintained a private practice in Neurology since 1995.

Dr. Austin is the recipient of numerous professional awards and honors. She has been an invited lecturer at such distinguished organizations as the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, University of Houston, Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, and the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. Her works have been renowned Neurology textbook.
